Lingua Vetusta is a web-based language learning platform for medieval and historical languages, including Old English, Old Occitan, Old French, and Old Icelandic. The Service provides AI-powered grammar tutoring, flashcards, reading tools, and translation practice.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
The Service offers a free tier with limited daily AI usage and a premium subscription with unlimited access. Premium subscriptions are billed monthly ($4.99/month) or annually ($39.99/year). Payments may be made via Stripe or supported cryptocurrency (USDC).
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain premium access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds for cryptocurrency payments are not available due to the nature of blockchain transactions. For Stripe payments, refund requests may be submitted within 7 days of purchase by contacting support.

The Service uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide grammar explanations and translation feedback. AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only and may contain errors. The Service does not guarantee the accuracy of AI responses.
All content, design, and code of the Service are the property of Lingua Vetusta. Historical texts presented in the Service are in the public domain. You retain ownership of any content you submit (translations, questions).
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lingua Vetusta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
